Ultra-high frequency ECG for heart timing problems

This study tests a new, more detailed type of ECG (called UHF-ECG) to see if it can better detect uneven electrical timing in the heart. If you are getting your first pacemaker for a slow heart rate or heart failure, this study may help doctors personalize your treatment.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and scheduled to get your first pacemaker (including CRT or CSP).
  • You have a slow heart rate or heart failure with a specific type of electrical pattern (LBBB, RBBB, or other IVCD).
  • You are willing to follow the study rules and sign a consent form.
  • If you could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test before the procedure.
  • You do not already have a pacemaker or defibrillator, and you don't have any condition that makes a standard ECG difficult (like allergies to ECG pads or open wounds).
