Who can take part

  • You have deep gum pockets (5 mm or more) and significant bone loss around the teeth.
  • You have a specific type of bone loss (called 'infra-bony') that is at least 3 mm deep, seen on an X-ray.
  • You do not smoke or chew tobacco (pan).
  • You do not need antibiotics before routine dental exams.
  • You do not have advanced gum disease between the roots of back teeth (furcation involvement).
