  • You must be 19 years old or older.
  • You must not have high blood pressure caused by another condition (like kidney disease or a hormone problem).
  • You must not have a condition called orthostatic hypotension (dizziness or fainting when you stand up).
  • You must not need to take other blood pressure drugs during the study.
  • You must not have type 1 diabetes or poorly controlled diabetes.
