Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with refractory gout, meaning your uric acid stays high despite taking medication, you have frequent flares, or you have tophi (hard lumps under the skin)
  • You have had at least three gout attacks in the past year
  • You do not have an active gout flare within the last 2 weeks
  • You do not have other serious health conditions like heart, lung, liver, kidney disease, or active infections
