Who can take part
- You must have gout that is difficult to control (high uric acid levels and severe symptoms despite treatment)
- Your gout must be confirmed by 2015 ACR/EULAR criteria, and you must not be having an active gout attack (or it must have resolved at least 2 weeks ago)
- Your serum uric acid level must be at least 420 μmol/L (7 mg/dL) at screening
- You must be between 18 and 75 years old
- You cannot have certain infections (hepatitis B, hepatitis C without successful treatment, HIV, or active syphilis)
- You must not have taken other urate-lowering drugs, uricase agents, or certain vaccines in the required timeframe before enrollment
