Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with COPD (chronic lung disease).
  • You are on a breathing tube (mechanical ventilation) for more than 24 hours.
  • You are no longer getting continuous sedation or strong sleep medicines.
  • Your level of consciousness is good enough to follow commands (Glasgow scale of 8 or higher).
  • You do not have any brain damage or nerve/muscle disease (like a stroke or Parkinson's).
