- You have been diagnosed with primary hypothyroidism (your thyroid gland does not make enough hormone).
- You are between 18 and 60 years old.
- You have not been diagnosed with any psychiatric condition before.

- You are not taking drugs that affect thyroid function (like chemotherapy) and have never had cancer.
