  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • You have low back pain from damaged discs in your lower spine (seen on MRI)
  • You are already planning to have surgery for this pain
  • Your back pain score is at least 40 out of 100 and worse than your leg pain
  • You have tried at least 6 months of non-surgical treatments (like physical therapy, medication, or chiropractic) without success
