Who can take part
- You are between 45 and 65 years old.
- You have type 2 diabetes that is well controlled.
- You have a foot ulcer that goes through the full thickness of the skin and has lasted more than 4 months.
- You are not currently receiving any other physical therapy for your ulcer (like special exercises or electrical stimulation).
- You do not have other skin conditions or diseases (such as vein or artery disease) that could be causing the ulcer.
- You do not have active cancer or a bone infection (osteomyelitis) related to the ulcer.
