Who can take part

  • You have type 2 diabetes that is well-controlled.
  • You have a foot ulcer that is deep enough to go through the full thickness of skin (not just the top layer) and has lasted longer than 4 months.
  • You are between 45 and 65 years old.
  • You are willing to continue your usual diabetes care and not receive other physical therapy for the ulcer during the study.
  • You do not have other causes for the ulcer (like vein disease or cancer) and no active bone infection (osteomyelitis).
