Who can take part
- You must have diabetes and a foot ulcer that hasn't healed in the last 4 weeks.
- The ulcer must be on your foot but not deep enough to expose bone, muscle, or tendons (Wagner grade 1 or 2).
- Your ankle-brachial index (a measure of blood flow in your legs) must be between 0.9 and 1.2.
- You cannot have a pacemaker, cancer, or a history of radiation therapy.
- You cannot have an infection or be taking antibiotics right now.
- You cannot be pregnant or take medications that affect blood flow or nerves.
