Who can take part

  • You are 5 years old or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM), a rare autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness and skin rashes.
  • Your JDM has not improved with standard treatments like steroids and at least two other immune-suppressing drugs, or you have severe symptoms such as lung, heart, or gut problems, calcium deposits, or persistent muscle weakness.
  • Your heart, kidneys, liver, and lungs are working well enough (based on tests).
  • If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you agree to use birth control during the study and for one year after treatment.
  • You have not had CAR-T therapy before, and you do not have serious active infections or other major health issues that would make the treatment unsafe.
