Who can take part

  • You have low oxygen levels in your blood that need extra oxygen or a breathing machine.
  • Your lungs show cloudiness or fluid on both sides in a chest X-ray, CT scan, or ultrasound.
  • Your breathing problems started less than 7 days ago.
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You do not have a long-term lung condition like COPD or pulmonary fibrosis, and you have not needed a breathing tube or mask ventilator before.
