Who can take part
- You have chronic heart failure from blocked arteries (ischemic) and your heart pumps less than 40% of blood out each beat.
- You are on stable heart failure medicines for at least 1 month.
- You are able to have a heart catheterization (a tube to check your heart's pressure).
- You have not had a recent heart procedure (stent or bypass within 3 months), no severe valve problems, and no pacemaker or defibrillator made before 2015.
- You do not have recent stroke (within 3 months), serious kidney disease, uncontrolled diabetes, active infections, or cancer (except treated skin cancer) in the last 3 years.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you agree to use birth control if able to become pregnant.
