Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a type of head and neck cancer called squamous cell carcinoma, confirmed by biopsy, in the oropharynx, larynx, or hypopharynx.
- Your cancer has not spread to the opposite side of the neck, as shown on a PET/CT scan.
- You are able to get radiation therapy with or without chemotherapy.
- Your overall health is good (ECOG 0 or 1, meaning you are fully active or able to do light work).
- Your blood counts, liver, and kidney function are within acceptable limits.
