  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 25 or higher, meaning you are overweight
  • You are not very active — you exercise less than 150 minutes per week or have a low activity level
  • You are not currently taking medications for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or insulin sensitivity
  • You do not smoke, drink heavily, or use drugs
  • You are not pregnant
