Exercise and Brain Insulin Sensitivity Study

This study checks if exercise training changes how your brain responds to insulin. You will do ergometer (stationary bike) training, and your brain activity will be measured before and after. It's for people who are not very active now and want to see how exercise affects brain metabolism.

Who can take part

  • Your BMI must be between 19.5 and 39.
  • You should not exercise more than 150 minutes moderately or 75 minutes vigorously per week.
  • You cannot have type 2 diabetes, heart disease, or have had a stroke.
  • No metal implants (like pacemaker, insulin pump, large tattoos, or surgical screws) that can't be removed.
  • You must not be pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a bleeding disorder.
  • You need to speak German well enough to understand instructions.
