Who can take part

  • Your heart function (ejection fraction) was once below 40% but has now improved to 50% or higher.
  • You must be on at least three heart failure medications (like ACE inhibitors, beta blockers, or spironolactone).
  • Your NT-proBNP level (a blood test for heart stress) needs to be within a safe range adjusted for your kidney health.
  • You cannot have high blood pressure that is not controlled (over 150/90).
  • You cannot have had a heart procedure (like a stent or bypass) in the last 6 months, or have significant valve disease or an irregular heartbeat needing treatment.
  • You cannot be pregnant or have kidney disease with protein in your urine.
