Comparing two ways to sample vein blood from the adrenal gland using an arm vein

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have high blood pressure.
  • Initial blood tests suggest your adrenal glands may be making too much aldosterone (a hormone that raises blood pressure).
  • You agree to take part and sign a consent form.
  • You are not allergic to iodine-based contrast dye used in imaging.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy, and you do not have serious health problems like kidney failure or recent stroke/heart attack.
  • You do not have a suspected adrenal gland tumor.
