Who can take part
- You are 18 or older and willing to sign a consent form.
- You have high blood pressure (systolic between 140 and 170 mmHg).
- You have a thickened heart muscle (left ventricular hypertrophy) seen on an echocardiogram or MRI within the past year.
- You have at least one additional risk factor, such as type 2 diabetes, reduced kidney function, or a history of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, and if applicable, you agree to use effective birth control.
- You do not have certain heart conditions, kidney failure, or recent heart events.
