Who can take part

  • You are over 18 years old
  • You are getting breathing support through a high-flow nasal device (HVNI) because your oxygen levels were too low
  • Your doctors have decided you are ready to stop this support based on standard weaning guidelines
  • You do not have major face or burn injuries
  • You do not usually use a breathing mask (NIV) at home for long-term problems
  • You do not have a tracheotomy or other upper airway issues
