Acalabrutinib for CLL/SLL patients with heart issues from ibrutinib

Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma

Treatments studied

Part of Blood & lymphatic, Cancer, Immune system & allergy clinical trials.

This trial tests a different targeted drug, acalabrutinib, for people with CLL or SLL who developed heart problems (like atrial fibrillation) while taking ibrutinib. The goal is to see if acalabrutinib can control the cancer without causing the same heart side effects.

NCT05336812Recruiting· Phase 2
Acalabrutinib with venetoclax or obinutuzumab for untreated CLL

This Phase 2 trial studies how well acalabrutinib works when combined with either venetoclax or obinutuzumab in people with untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It aims to improve disease control while checking safety and tolerability.

NCT07014917Recruiting· Phase 2
Comparing two ways to take venetoclax and acalabrutinib for CLL/SLL

This trial tests whether taking venetoclax on an intermittent schedule (not every day) works as well as taking it continuously when combined with acalabrutinib for people with untreated CLL or SLL. It aims to find a treatment approach that might be just as effective but with fewer side effects.

Cincinnati, Ohio
NCT06651970Recruiting· Phase 4
Acalabrutinib for chronic lymphocytic leukemia with heart problems

This trial tests a targeted therapy called acalabrutinib (a pill) against other standard treatments for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in people who also have heart conditions. The goal is to see if acalabrutinib is a safer or more effective option for this group.

NCT03516617Recruiting· Phase 2
Acalabrutinib with or without obinutuzumab for early CLL/SLL

This Phase 2 trial studies whether acalabrutinib, and optionally adding obinutuzumab, can control early-stage chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). It aims to see how well these treatments work and how safe they are in people who have not had prior treatment.

NCT04941716Recruiting· Phase 2
Acalabrutinib plus venetoclax for hard-to-treat CLL/SLL

This Phase 2 trial studies whether combining acalabrutinib and venetoclax can shrink or control chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) that has come back or did not respond to prior treatment. It may help by attacking the cancer using two different medicines together.

Study of acalabrutinib plus venetoclax for relapsed CLL

This trial tests a combination of two targeted drugs for people with CLL or SLL whose cancer returned after first treatment with a similar type of therapy. The goal is to see if this approach works well with a fixed treatment duration.
