Cooling artery treatment with magnesium for stroke clot removal

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You have had a stroke caused by a clot in a large artery in the front part of the brain
  • Your stroke symptoms started within the last 24 hours and you are able to have a mechanical clot removal procedure
  • Your stroke is moderately severe to severe (NIHSS score of 6 or higher)
  • You were independent before the stroke (able to do daily activities without help)
  • You do not have major bleeding risk, active infection, severe heart/lung/kidney/liver problems, or are pregnant
