Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You have a spontaneous brain bleed (not from injury or an aneurysm) seen on a scan
  • You arrived at the hospital within 24 hours of your first symptom
  • You have moderate to severe stroke symptoms (NIHSS score higher than 8) and a Glasgow Coma Scale score of 8 or more
  • You do not have chronic kidney disease or other serious illnesses that could interfere
