  • The bleeding is in the upper part of the brain (seen on CT scan)
  • You were independent before the bleed (no help needed for daily activities)
  • You have a moderate to severe stroke (weakness in one arm or leg and a total score of 6 or more)
  • The study drug can be started within 24 hours of symptom onset
