This trial tests a sequence of treatments for SIOD (a genetic condition causing immune and kidney problems). First, you receive CD7 car-t cells, then a stem cell transplant from a family donor, followed by a kidney transplant from the same donor. Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with SIOD and are in stage 5 chronic kidney disease (your kidneys function at less than 15% normal)
  • You have a related donor who can provide both stem cells and a kidney (a haploidentical match is okay)
  • Your liver function tests (bilirubin, ALT, AST) must be within set limits
  • Your heart pumps normally (LVEF of 50% or higher on an echo) and you do not have severe heart disease or a prolonged QT interval
  • You do not have an active lung infection and your oxygen level while breathing air is above 92%
  • You have not had a stem cell or organ transplant before, and do not have HIV, active hepatitis B or C, or an active infection that is not cured
