Who can take part

  • You had a stroke caused by a blood clot or bleeding in the brain (not a mini-stroke or bleeding around the brain).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Before your stroke, you had no or very little disability (could do all usual activities or had only slight symptoms).
  • Your current disability from the stroke is not severe (you can still walk without help and don't need full care).
  • You are able to complete simple thinking and memory tests within 30 days after your stroke.
