Who can take part

  • Live in Valdivia, Chile and receive dental care at the Base Hospital of Valdivia
  • Be between 30 and 70 years old
  • Need bone regeneration in the lower jaw, with less than 6 mm of bone height
  • No prior dental implant surgery
  • No smoking more than 5 cigarettes a day or heavy drinking (more than 3 times per week)
  • No uncontrolled diabetes, serious heart disease, bleeding disorders, or use of blood thinners
