Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenia (low platelets) along with an autoimmune disease such as lupus, Sjogren's syndrome, or undifferentiated connective tissue disease.
  • Your platelet count is very low (below 30) or if it's between 20 and 30, you have noticeable bleeding symptoms (like easy bruising, bleeding gums, etc.).
  • Your kidney function is good (serum creatinine under 2.5 mg/dL).
  • You have not had a serious infection recently.
  • You are willing to sign the informed consent form after understanding all the risks and benefits.
