Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had a fever of at least 100.9°F (38.3°C) within the past 24 hours before arriving at the emergency room.
  • You received chemotherapy or targeted therapy for a solid tumor within the last 6 weeks.
  • You are being treated for leukemia, lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome, aplastic anemia, multiple myeloma, or you have had a stem cell transplant.
  • You are willing and able to give permission for the study team to access your medical records.
