Ultrasound test for kidney risk in ARDS patients

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have moderate to severe ARDS (a serious lung condition)
  • You are receiving medicine to keep your blood pressure stable
  • You have been on a breathing machine for less than 48 hours
  • You do not have severe kidney disease requiring dialysis before the ultrasound
  • You are not on ECMO (heart-lung bypass) and do not have certain liver or lung conditions
