Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have moderate to severe ARDS (a serious lung condition)
- You are receiving medicine to keep your blood pressure stable
- You have been on a breathing machine for less than 48 hours
- You do not have severe kidney disease requiring dialysis before the ultrasound
- You are not on ECMO (heart-lung bypass) and do not have certain liver or lung conditions
