  • You must have a bilateral alveolar cleft (a gap in the upper gum on both sides).
  • Your age must be between 8 and 12 years old.
  • You must be willing to follow the trial instructions and come to all visits.
  • You cannot be allergic to acrylic (the material used in the splint).
  • You must not have a severe medical condition like an intellectual disability that would prevent participation.
