Who can take part
- Your body mass index (BMI) must be 30 or higher
- You must be white or of European descent
- You cannot have had cancer (except skin cancer) in the last 5 years
- You cannot have an autoimmune, neurological, or genetic obesity condition
- You cannot be very physically active (more than a leisurely walk)
- You cannot drink more than 14 alcoholic drinks a week (men) or 7 drinks a week (women)
