- You have had a stroke caused by a blood clot.
- You are between 20 and 85 years old.
- You are not currently getting chemotherapy for cancer.
- You do not have end-stage kidney disease requiring dialysis.
- You are not taking drugs that suppress your immune system.
- You do not have a bleeding disorder, G6PD deficiency (favism), or thalassemia.
