Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You had a stroke less than 6 hours ago caused by bleeding in the outer part of the brain (lobar hemorrhage).
  • The bleeding is between 30 and 80 milliliters in volume.
  • You had no major disability before the stroke (able to live independently).
  • You have not had a prior stroke.
  • You do not have certain serious medical conditions like kidney or liver failure, a clotting disorder, or active bleeding.
