Who can take part

  • You had a stroke caused by bleeding in the brain (spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • The bleeding started within the last 4 days (96 hours).
  • Before the stroke, you were able to walk and take care of most daily tasks (Modified Rankin Scale score of 0, 1, or 2).
  • The bleeding is in the upper part of the brain (supratentorial) and is at least 2 mL in size.
