  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with an infection in the face or jaw area (maxillofacial space infection).
  • You had surgery to drain the infection (abscess incision and drainage).
  • You had a breathing tube placed during surgery (tracheal intubation).
  • Your medical records are complete and available.
