Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older (age limits depend on which type of chemotherapy or radiation you need before transplant).
- You have a blood cancer such as acute leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), lymphoma, or another eligible type.
- Your blood cancer is under good control—no blast cells in your bloodstream and few blast cells in your bone marrow.
- A partially matched unrelated donor (ages 16–35) is available, and you do NOT have a perfectly matched related or unrelated donor.
- Your heart, kidneys, lungs, and liver work well enough based on recent tests.
- You have not had a prior stem cell transplant from another person.
