Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older and weigh at least 77 pounds (35 kg).
  • You must have one of these blood cancers: acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, or chronic myelomonocytic leukemia.
  • You must have a half-matched (haploidentical) family donor or an unrelated volunteer donor available for stem cell donation.
  • You must be in reasonably good health, with no serious infections or organ problems.
  • You cannot have had a prior stem cell transplant.
