Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You had a bleeding stroke from a burst aneurysm within the last 24 hours, confirmed by a scan.
  • You have a drain placed in your brain or spine (or plan to have one put in).
  • If you could become pregnant, a pregnancy test must be negative, and you agree to use non-hormonal birth control or not have sex during the study and for 2 months after the last dose.
  • If you are a man with a partner who could become pregnant, you agree to use a condom or not have sex during the study and for 2 months after the last dose, and not donate sperm.
  • You are able to attend follow-up visits and give consent (or have someone who can).
