Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You take at least two different blood pressure pills, and your blood pressure is still high (clinic reading 140-180 mmHg and a 24-hour average above 130 mmHg).
  • Your resting heart rate is 70 or higher (unless you take a beta-blocker).
  • You do not have another condition that causes high blood pressure, like kidney disease, severe sleep apnea, or thyroid problems.
  • You have not had a heart attack, stroke, or other major heart event in the last 6 months, and you do not have a pacemaker or ICD.
