Who can take part

  • You must be referred for a diagnostic procedure for buildup of fluid around your lung.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • The fluid buildup is thought to be possibly caused by cancer (based on CT/PET scans or known cancer elsewhere).
  • Your fluid must not have already been confirmed as cancerous.
  • You must not have had a previous drainage or scope procedure that didn't give a clear answer.
