Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with AQP4-positive neuromyelitis optica (NMOSD) using standard criteria.
  • You have had at least one flare-up or attack of NMOSD before.
  • You either have not been treated for NMOSD before, or have taken specific medications like rituximab, steroids, azathioprine, mycophenolate mofetil, or ravulizumab. If you are new to ravulizumab, you must have a prescription for it but not started it yet.
  • You have been vaccinated against N. meningitidis (meningitis) within the last 3 years, or you will get the vaccine when you start the study, with antibiotics as a safety measure.
  • You weigh at least 40 kg (about 88 pounds).
