Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease by a neurologist using standard UK criteria.
- You are 18 years or older.
- You already have a Medtronic Percept PC or RC DBS system implanted in both sides of the brain targeting a deep area called the subthalamic nucleus (STN).
- The electrical contact that best manages your symptoms can work with the adaptive DBS mode in at least one side of the brain.
- There is a reliable beta brain signal (a type of brain wave) in at least one side of the brain.
- You can give informed consent and follow the study procedures.
- You understand the Dutch language.
- You are not pregnant, do not have dementia or mild cognitive impairment, and are not legally incompetent or in another trial for brain treatments.
