Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease by a neurologist using standard UK criteria.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You already have a Medtronic Percept PC or RC DBS system implanted in both sides of the brain targeting a deep area called the subthalamic nucleus (STN).
  • The electrical contact that best manages your symptoms can work with the adaptive DBS mode in at least one side of the brain.
  • There is a reliable beta brain signal (a type of brain wave) in at least one side of the brain.
  • You can give informed consent and follow the study procedures.
  • You understand the Dutch language.
  • You are not pregnant, do not have dementia or mild cognitive impairment, and are not legally incompetent or in another trial for brain treatments.
