Combination chemo and osimertinib for advanced EGFR lung cancer

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your lung cancer has spread beyond the lung (Stage IIIB/C or IV) and is a type called adenocarcinoma with a specific EGFR mutation (exon 19 deletion or L858R).
  • Your doctor plans to start treatment with osimertinib (Tagrisso) as your first therapy for advanced cancer.
  • You have not had any prior cancer treatment (targeted, chemo, or immunotherapy) for advanced lung cancer, except possibly adjuvant therapy more than 6 months ago.
  • You are generally well enough to do daily activities (ECOG score 0 or 1) and have adequate organ function (kidney, liver, blood counts).
