Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with osteosarcoma (a bone cancer) that has spread to your lungs, and you have a condition called bronchopleural fistula (an abnormal connection between your airway and the space around your lung).
- You have symptoms like coughing up blood, a collapsed lung, or persistent chest infection that haven't gotten better with standard treatments (medication or chest tube).
- You are 75 years old or younger, can look after yourself fairly well (ECOG score 0-2), and are expected to live at least 3 more months.
- You must not have a severe allergy to the glue, iodine contrast dye, or metal coils used in the procedure.
- You must not have serious heart or lung problems (such as advanced heart failure, very low lung function, or uncontrolled high blood pressure in the lungs).
- You cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
