  • You are in the emergency department or intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital that is part of this study.
  • You are getting a breathing tube placed (tracheal intubation).
  • Your doctor plans to use a carbon dioxide (CO2) detector to make sure the tube is in the right spot.
  • You are not currently in prison or jail.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
