Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with heart failure for at least 3 months and your heart's pumping function is below 40%.
- You have shortness of breath or fatigue that limits your daily activities (NYHA class II to IV).
- You are not currently taking certain medications like spironolactone, eplerenone, or amiloride.
- You have not had a heart attack, stroke, or major heart surgery in the last 90 days.
- You do not have a heart transplant, are not waiting for one, and do not have a mechanical heart pump device.
- You are willing to use highly effective birth control if you are a woman of childbearing potential.
