Testing vicadrostat plus empagliflozin for heart failure

Heart Failure

Treatments studied

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This study tests whether adding a new study drug called vicadrostat to the standard heart failure medicine empagliflozin helps people with heart failure. It may be a good option if you have heart failure with preserved pumping function and are not already on a medicine called an MRA.

NCT07304817Recruiting· Phase 2
Comparing two heart and kidney medicines in heart failure

This study tests if a new medicine (vicadrostat) works differently than an older one (spironolactone) in people with heart failure or heart disease and reduced kidney function. It aims to understand how they affect proteins in the blood and kidney blood flow.

Study of baxdrostat plus dapagliflozin for heart risk in type 2 diabetes

This study tests whether a new drug called baxdrostat, when added to the diabetes medicine dapagliflozin (Farxiga), can prevent heart failure and heart-related death in people with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and existing heart or blood vessel disease. You may be able to join if you have type 2 diabetes, heart or blood vessel disease, high blood pressure, and at least one extra risk factor for heart failure.
