Vagus Nerve Stimulation for Early Stroke Arm Recovery

Who can take part

  • This is your first stroke, caused by a clot, and it happened 3 to 36 months ago.
  • The stroke affected one side of your brain (in the middle cerebral artery area) but not deep structures.
  • You have moderate to severe weakness in one arm or hand, but can still move it a little.
  • Your arm isn't extremely stiff (like a fixed tight muscle).
  • You are mentally clear enough to follow simple instructions.
