Vagus Nerve Stimulation With Rehab to Improve Walking After Stroke

Who can take part

  • You are between 22 and 80 years old
  • Your doctor has approved you as a candidate for vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) therapy
  • You had a stroke that affected your leg and walking ability, but you can still walk short distances on your own (with or without a cane, walker, or leg brace)
  • Your affected arm still has some active movement in your thumb and at least 2 other fingers
  • You are able to understand and follow simple instructions
  • You are not pregnant
